Microsoft Lync 2010 for iPhone App Reviews

Used to work now is unusable

Totally unusable. One of the worst apps ever. Incredibly unstable.

Not very functional

If you are depending on this as a reliable means of communication, I would not! It not very efficient and there does not seem to be a way to configure notifications to let you know you hav a new message. Much more development needed to make this worthwhile. It would seem you hav to have the app open in order to know you have a message and your desktop version needs to be closed in order to receive on your phone.

Needs push notifications

Needs push notifications for instant messages. Without them, the app is pointless.

No worky

Gets stuck in logging in, but never logs in. Big data/battery drain.

Worst app

It crashes a lot. Issues in connecting. Screen render issue.

Full of bugs = useless

Hey Microsoft, this is a major FAIL. Take a look at the ratings for this product and please put some resources behind this so it actually works. Right not this is worse than beta. Issues include: - I can send msg but then cannot receive any messages. Defeats the whole purpose of having a enterprise messaging app - No notifications? Are I kidding? - update screen size? Hello!? iPhone 5 has been out for how long now?

Great tool but...

... Needs iPhone5/s/c support. Shouldnt be an issue for such a big company. Easy 5 stars if that is taken care off!

When is the next update?

Lync 2013 looks nice, but not all organizations are running 2013 servers. This version has not been updated since last year and does not sync conversations with the server. If you dont tap the notification when a message comes in, youre SOL with that conversation. You have to annoy the sender and start a new conversation to respond. Cmon Microsoft.

Ios 7 support need

Needs support for ios 7

Love it but hate it

I love the fact that I can stay connected to my team while away but it seems more focus was placed on the Lync 2013 ios version. A lot of people would agree that not all businesses will upgrade from 2010 to 2013 right away, some cases 2015 can come out and businesses will still be using 2010. My point is that, this app will not sync with the desktop version, I should be able to leave my desk, open my app and continue my conversations. No notifications and if I get one its usually while Im using the desktop version. Also there is no support for iphone 5, though it seems to work on iphone 5 its limited since there has been no updates. Microsoft is used a lot for businesses and for them to be slacking like this is unacceptable, get on the ball Microsoft.

Needs an update badly!

Cmmon guys, update this app. It still is in iOS 6 era, and not optimized for any phone after iPhone 4S. Works good, extremely helpful. But GUI needs an update.

Good but not perfect

This is not optimised for iPhone 5. It still shows same size as of iPhone 4 Another problem is too many bugs like name n status doesnt update as always.

Works fine for me.

This app is simple, and while I would like more functionality I havent had any issues using it with my company. It would be nice if they bundled Lync 2010 compatibility into 2013 and kept it up to date. Those of use whos companies only support 2010 are stuck on this old version.

Notification bug

The notification bug is so annoying and makes the whole app rather useless!

Horrible

Microsoft hasnt even bothered to update this app to fit the dimensions of the iPhone 5/5s. This app is terrible, hence why I use Apple for my personal computer and software.

Send and Delete keys too close

I admit I am a fat-fingerer, but this app is the worst for that. I find myself accidentally hitting the "send" button when I had intended to delete text.

Kinda works . Mostly crap .

Well , I appreciate that MS has a lync app for iphone , but dont expect it to be good enough for business . Most of the time I receive notifications of a message but its not in the Lync app. I have missed countless messages . So "sorry I was on mobile, can you resend" becomes the norm. Most of the time I get an annoying server error but its still "working". If you are logged into pc and mobile app... Well .. Good luck to you. If you need something stable , try google hangouts . Otherwise you can waste time chasing messages from people.

Junk. Without another option

Barely functional. Unreliable in every way. And there is no other viable option. Zero stars, Microsoft (Apple forced me to give you at least one).

A+

Great for my conference call. Love it.

Works!

Simple and it works! Not sure why theres such a low rating. You just have to get necessary information from your company to connect.
