Microsoft Lync 2010 for iPhone App Reviews

While I like having access to reach out to my team while away, I dont like that a message will pop up in my notifications then not show in the actual message. They become ghosts.

At least update the app to support iOS 7...

Never signs in correctly.

The app ia not optmized for the screen size of iPhone5 and does not have the iOS7 UI. Also needs an updated icon. My company paid for the office Lync Server so i think we deserve more from Microsoft. Please update the app. Thank you.

Only has worked once in a week. Good job Microsoft.

This app exists for one purpose: to sell upgrades to Lync 2013. Its going to work for my organization. And thats a shame.

UPDATE: If youre having issues with this app force closing after you upgraded your firmware to iOS 8, all you have to do is delete the app and reinstall it. This worked for me and I have an iPhone 6 with 8.0.2. This app did work well prior to the release of iOS 8. Once you update your phones OS, the app wont even open. The developers for this app havent issued an update to their app since April 2013, so I doubt they still support this app/will be releasing an update to make this compatible with iOS 8.

Once my phone locks and messages come up, you will never find out what they said unless you ask them to send it again and keep your phone active. It could be a great app but right now its not worth the light of day!!

Microsoft would do well to update their apps every now and then. The app doesnt support native screens on the iPhone 5, let alone the 6 or 6 Plus.

When working its a great app to stay connected to work colleagues, but too often has trouble logging in. Message about cant connect cause server may be down gets old.

Called a few numbers from abroad thinking I was actually using Lync after all I was in the app. Found out later when I got my phone bill that it placed the calls direct. And I got a hefty bill. No warning, nothing, MS garbage....rant.

Please update for iOS 8! Not all large companies update their enterprise systems so quickly. At least update the screen size for newer iPhones

Many organizations still use Lync Server 2010 and will not upgrade to 2013 for some time. Therefore, Microsoft should consider maintaining support for this version of Lync (as the 2013 client version does not support Lync Server 2010). This app absolutely needs the notification and synchronization bugs fixed. Also, compatibility for the iPhone 6/6+ screen size would be appreciated.

We need compatibility screen resolution with iPhone 5/6/6s. So, we also know that a lot IT didnt update the lync server from 2010 to 2013

Serious App update is required for Lync 2010. As our organization is still using 2010 architecture and this app is outdated to fulfill the purpose on newer iPhones and iOS releases.

The app does the job, but lacks support for the big screens of iPhone 5 and newer. As a result you cant see the conversation because the keyboard takes up all the space. The GUI is poor, no push notifications like every other app. Poor presentation but allows communicating with colleagues. Therefore its borderline ok.

Many companies including my own are not upgrading to 2013 because it gives MSFT our employee credentials in the cloud. So we are still stuck with 2010. It needs to be updated if you have this many users still on it, period. Its still iPhone 4 size for Christ sake.

I think this app has a great potential - if its written better, i.e.!! Not sure if they are not fixing this because its the 2010 version! But sure acts weird, on the go!!
